  • “My life is normal” becomes: “My life is a mission field.”  Your neighborhood, workplace, gym, and favorite coffee shop are not random. They are the places where God has planted you to be light and salt (Matt 5:13-16).

Once your mindset begins to shift, you begin to see “ordinary” places very differently.

  • In the car line or parking lot: you are surrounded by people every weekday. Many are stressed, lonely, or distracted. A kind word, a patient attitude, or a brief conversation can stand out more than you realize.
  • In the checkout line: you may only see someone for two minutes at a register, but you might be the only believer who speaks to them kindly all day. A simple “How can I pray for you this week?” has opened countless doors.
  • At the office: coffee breaks, meetings, and project work create small pockets of conversation. When coworkers know you follow Jesus, everyday moments quickly turn into spiritual ones when they face hardship or uncertainty.
  • Kids’ activities:  bleachers and sidelines are full of parents who are searching for meaning and hope. Long practices and games offer plenty of time for relationships to form.
